This is Harvest Box Co-op, in Wichita. Six farms grow it and I put it together. Swap the beets you won't eat. Add the eggs you will. Grab it on your way home. (Grown-ups: the fennel can go. Nobody has to know.)

Same week, every week, first box or thirtieth. Sign up on a Wednesday and a welcome text pings straight back: your pickup site, your pass code, your first pickup date.
The list lands in the app. Swap two things, or skip the whole week, until Thursday at 8 PM. Hate fennel? Out it goes.
Nothing from us. Last week's squash is still looking at you.
The farms read your swaps. Then they pick the rows to match. Snip, pull, thump.
Swaps close at 8 PM. East Wichita and Derby hand out boxes 4 to 7 PM.
The farms pack every box and write a name on it. Yours too. If the kale didn't make it, I text you and say so.
Augusta 4 to 6:30 PM, Rose Hill 3 to 7 PM, home delivery 2 to 6 PM.
Riverside 8 to 11 AM, under the yellow tent. Andover 9 AM to noon.
The farms rest. So do I. The kids count next week's eggs.
Whichever day your site runs, show the pass code in the app and the box is yours. Stuck at work, send a friend with the code. Running late, we hold every box two hours.

Three more sites live in the app. A box waits two hours past close. Then it goes to a neighborhood food pantry, and somebody else gets a very good dinner.
EBT works at every pickup and in the app. Spend a dollar on fruit and vegetables with your card, and Double Up Food Bucks adds a dollar to match. Up to $25 a day.
That makes a $36 family box of produce $18 on your card. Eggs, cheese and bread go on the card at full price.
Twelve shares each season are pay-what-you-can. Members pay for them by rounding up. Ask by phone. There is no form.
One family box, paid with SNAP
All six are within 40 miles of a pickup site. Want to meet the hens? Call (316) 555-0175 and I'll set up a farm visit.
