Which course, which year? All four years on one map.

Wrenfield Preparatory is a high school in Andover, Kansas, with 164 students in grades 9 to 12. The map is the whole course of study. Your student picks the branches with a counsellor, starting in the spring of ninth grade. I am one of the two counsellors.

How often does my child see a counsellor?

Every semester, from the first fall. Julia Serrano and I each take two classes and follow them to graduation, about 82 students each. From the spring of junior year, parents sit in on every meeting.

Bus, phones, late entry and snow days

Not answered here? (316) 555-0113, front office, 7:30 to 4:30.

Family reviews

Google reviews from Wrenfield families appear here once the school connects its profile. Until then this space stays empty on purpose: nothing here is written by the school.

Is there a bus from Wichita?

Yes. A morning and afternoon bus runs from two stops in east Wichita for $420 a year, free for families receiving aid. Andover and Augusta families mostly drive or carpool through the parent portal.

Can a student join in tenth grade?

Yes, a few places open each year. We review the ninth-grade transcript, place math and language from the assessment, and map the remaining three years with a counsellor before the first day.

What support is there for learning differences?

A full-time learning specialist writes an accommodation plan with each family, covering extended time, a quiet testing room and notes. There is no extra charge.

What is the phone policy?

Phones stay in lockers from first bell to last. Parents who need to reach a student call the front office, which delivers the message within the class period.

What happens on snow days?

Closures are decided by 6:00am and sent by text and on this site. Two snow days are built into the calendar. After that, classes move online for the day with a shortened schedule.

How far is Wrenfield from Wichita?

18 minutes from east Wichita. The campus is east of Andover on open ground, track and fields on the south side. Visitors park in the west lot and check in at the front office.
