Website redesign: move off Wix, GoDaddy or an old WordPress site without losing what Google knows about you.

An old site costs you customers quietly: it is slow on a phone, the hours are wrong, and nobody can remember the login. A redesign fixes that without throwing away your address, your email or the search standing you have built.

The short answer

A redesign with us is priced as a new build: $499 for up to 10 pages and one backend system, then $49 a month, or $1,449 once, live in about two weeks. We keep your domain, the words and photos worth keeping, your email and your Google Business Profile, and send every old page address to its new one with permanent redirects, which Google says pass ranking signals without loss.

What we keep and what we replace

Part of your siteWhat happens
Domain nameKept. It points at the new site on launch day, and moves into your own account if it is not there already.
Words and photosWe copy over what still works and rewrite or replace what does not, with your approval.
Page addressesEvery old address is sent to its closest new page with a permanent redirect.
EmailLeft working. If it runs through your old provider, we set it up before anything switches.
Google Business ProfileKept, and updated with the new site's link and correct details.
Design and codeReplaced with a custom design that loads in under a second on a phone and meets WCAG 2.2 AA.
Plugins and add-onsRemoved. Bookings, ordering or a menu editor are built in or connected to the tools you already use.

Redirects, so your search standing carries over

Search engines know your old pages by their addresses. If those addresses stop working, the standing they earned goes with them. Before launch we list every page on your old site, including ones linked from Google, and map each to its new home.

Google's guidance for site moves recommends permanent redirects (301 or 308), says they cause no loss of PageRank, and advises keeping them for at least a year so all signals transfer. We keep them in place for as long as you have the site, and update your Google Business Profile and other listings with the new links.

Moving off Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy or WordPress

  • Wix: Wix's help center says sites made in its editor cannot be exported to another host, so we copy your words and photos across and rebuild the design. Your domain can be pointed at the new site or transferred out.
  • Squarespace: its export covers pages, one blog and basic blocks, not the design or store pages. We use the export where it helps and copy the rest.
  • GoDaddy: if GoDaddy only holds your domain, it can stay there or move to an account of your choice. If your site was made in a hosted builder, we treat it like Wix and rebuild it.
  • WordPress: your posts and pages can be exported in full, so older articles worth keeping come across, each with a redirect from its old address.

Your old site stays live until the new one launches. Cancel the old plan only after the new site is up, redirects are working and email is confirmed.

Timeline and cost

A redesign runs on the same two weeks as any build: a working demo within a week of signing, then launch within a week of your approval, including redirects and the Google listing update.

The price is the same too: a $200 commissioning fee for the demo, credited to the $499 build, then $49 a month on care, on a three-year contract. Or $1,449 once with a year of hosting. A site with more than 10 pages, or needing a second backend system, is quoted before you sign.

When a redesign is not worth it

If your current site loads quickly on a phone, shows correct hours and prices, and brings in calls, it may only need a few fixes or a properly set-up Google Business Profile. Send us the address and we will tell you what it does today and whether it is worth replacing. Sometimes the honest answer is that it is fine.

Questions owners ask us

Can you redo my website?

Yes. We redo sites built on Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and WordPress. We keep your domain and the content worth keeping, rebuild it as a custom site, and redirect every old page address so Google keeps your standing. It takes about two weeks.

How much does it cost to revamp a website?

With us, the same as a new build: $499 for up to 10 pages and one backend system, then $49 a month on a three-year contract, or $1,449 once. Moving your content and setting up redirects is included.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign my website?

Not if every old page address is redirected to its new page with a permanent redirect, which Google says passes signals without loss. Rankings can move for a few weeks while Google recrawls. Skipping the redirects is what causes lasting losses.

Can you move my site off Wix if Wix will not export it?

Yes. Wix sites cannot be exported, so we copy your text and photos across and build a new design. Your domain stays yours: we point it at the new site or transfer it into your own account.

Do I keep my email address when the website moves?

Yes. Your email is tied to your domain, not your website design. If it runs through your old provider, we set it up on the new side before switching anything, so no messages are lost.

Can you keep my old WordPress blog posts?

Yes. WordPress exports posts and pages in full, so articles worth keeping come across with their photos, and each old address redirects to the new one.

Should I cancel my old website plan before you start?

No. Keep it running until the new site is live, redirects work and email is confirmed. Canceling early can take the site, and sometimes the domain or email, offline.

Is a redesign cheaper than a brand new site?

With us it costs the same: $499 for up to 10 pages and one backend system, then $49 a month, or $1,449 once. Moving the content and setting up redirects is included in that.

Every project starts with a signed contract and a working demo: $200 for a website, or a website and apps, and a quoted demo price for everything else.
