Website maintenance and hosting for $49 a month: what it covers, what counts as a small change, and what it costs elsewhere.
A website needs someone watching it after launch: keeping it up, fixing what breaks and making the changes you do not have time for. Our care plan does that for a flat monthly price, on a three-year contract you can cancel anytime after 24 monthly payments.
The short answer
Our website care is $49 a month or $500 a year, on a three-year contract. It covers hosting for a standard site and its basic backend, uptime monitoring, bug fixes, domain and email support, and up to 10 small changes a month made for you. You edit hours, prices and photos yourself. Clutch's Wichita guide puts maintenance and hosting at $150 to $500 a month, with hourly rates of $75 to $150.
What the $49 covers
- Hosting for a standard website and its basic backend: your pages, the editor for hours, prices and specials, forms and bookings.
- Uptime monitoring, so we know when something is wrong.
- Bug fixes.
- Domain and email support.
- Up to 10 small changes a month, made for you.
- Nothing to patch: sites we build are not WordPress, so there are no plugin updates to fall behind on.
Custom work that costs more to run, such as a large database, integrations with other systems or heavy traffic, costs more to host. We tell you that figure before you sign, never after.
What counts as a small change
A small change is the kind of edit you would otherwise email a designer about and wait days for. For example:
- Replacing photos or adding a new gallery image.
- Rewording a paragraph or a service description.
- Adding or removing a team member.
- Adding a question to your FAQ.
- Changing a button, a link or a form's email address.
Hours, prices, specials, photos and staff you can change yourself from your phone, so those do not use up your 10. Anything bigger, such as a new section of the site or a new system, we price before we start, and you decide.
Monthly, yearly, or paid once
| Option | Price | Terms |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly care | $49 a month | Three-year contract; cancel anytime after 24 payments |
| Yearly care | $500 a year, instead of $588 paid monthly | Three-year contract; the price may change at renewal |
| One payment | $1,449 once, including the build | One year of hosting, no ongoing care; changes and support billed as needed |
Yearly care costs less because we would rather look after a site for years than hand it over and leave the risk with you.

Who it suits, and who it does not
Care is for sites we build, for owners who would rather spend their time on the business and want a known monthly cost. If you are comfortable making every change yourself and want no monthly bill, the $1,449 one-payment option suits you better.
If your current site was built by someone else, send it to us. We will tell you honestly whether looking after it or rebuilding it makes more sense.
Questions owners ask us
Is hosting included in the $49 a month?
Yes. The $49 covers hosting for a standard website and its basic backend, plus monitoring, fixes, domain and email support, and up to 10 small changes a month. Custom work that costs more to run is priced before you sign.
What if I need more than 10 changes in one month?
Tell us what you need. Anything beyond the 10 small changes is priced before we start, so there are no surprise bills, and remember that hours, prices, photos and staff are yours to change anytime.
Can I cancel website care?
Yes, anytime after 24 monthly payments. Care is a three-year contract, at $49 a month or $500 a year, and leaving before 24 months means paying the rest of those first 24 months. Either way the site, domain, hosting account, code and content stay yours.
Why is yearly care cheaper than monthly?
It is $500 a year instead of $588, in exchange for a three-year contract. We would rather look after a site for years than hand it over and leave the risk with the owner, and the price may be reviewed at renewal.
Do I still need care if I can edit the site myself?
You can edit hours, prices, specials, photos and staff yourself either way. Care adds hosting, monitoring, fixes and the bigger changes. If you want none of that, the one-payment option has no monthly fee.
What happens if my website goes down?
On care, uptime monitoring alerts us and we fix it. Bug fixes are part of the plan, not billed extra.
